Library Club Meeting Sets Annual Officers
The Literary and Musical Club met Tuesday evening April 30 with Mrs Whitehead host. Roll call featured quotes from Womans World. Annual election elected President Miss Ella Gogin Vice President Miss Clara McDonald Secretary and Treasurer Miss Mabel Grinby. Program included vocal solos by Miss Clara McDonald and Miss Anna Bromley and a talk on U S Laws Affecting Women by Mrs G Conley. Lunch followed.

Young Man Charles J Moline Dies After Illness
Charles J Moline, a Marmon neighborhood resident, died Tuesday morning at Hineline hospital after a brief typhoid illness. Born in Benson Minnesota, he was about nineteen. He moved with his family to Williams county North Dakota ten years ago. He leaves his father Andrew Moline four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Methodist church conducted by Rev Frank Hollette. Interment followed in Williston Cemetery.

Brome Grass Proves Superior to Timothy in Pasture Yields
A North Dakota field trial reports that brome grass produced more organic matter and humus, deeper roots, higher total yield, and better hay quality than timothy in 1900 1901. Animal grazing favored brome in 1899 and 1900, with soils from brome showing greater porosity and soil mass.

Stallion Inspection Dates Set for Williams and Mountrail Counties
A veterinary inspector for the Stallion Registration Board will tour Power Lake White Earth Tioga Stanley Williston Buford and Ray in Williams and Mountrail counties on May 6 7 and 8 for soundness examinations. Owners with unexamined stallions must appear at the listed livery barns at the specified times. this is the only inspection this year. The North Dakota Stallion Registration Board Fargo ND. Also the Congregational Aid plans an apron sale at Odd Fellows hall on Friday May 10 with a 5:30 pm supper for 35 cents.
