O Herschel Koy of New York has studied Missouri River water for North Dakota towns and says Williston could have clean soft water within six weeks of authorization. A lime treatment with mixing basin could clear and soften mud laden water at about five thousand dollars setup and two cents per thousand gallons operating cost, improving health and washing, with benefits to households and boilers.

McKay Store Burns After Myklestad Fire On Main Street
Firefighters battled a stubborn blaze at the McKay drug store on Main Street twelve hours after a prior fire at Myklestad. The fire spread between the steel ceiling and iron roof, broke into flames, and gutted the rear portion. Origin traced to electrical wiring. by 1 am Wednesday the interior was wrecked, brick walls largely uninjured.

Remains taken to Cresco Iowa for burial with sister residing there, by Mr Mumby and daughter Mrs Rose Berlandi.
