A report from Towner says 2000 dollars has been subscribed by town citizens to buy right of way for the Great Northern branch to the Deepriver country. Speculation centers on whether the line will start from Towner or Denbigh, with money possibly deciding the location. Towner is raising funds to ensure the branch goes from that town.
