Fd Jack visited from Eight Mile ranch last Saturday. Sain Navarre has the contract to supply stone for the new courthouse basement. Ole Bryn to furnish native lime and begin burning at once. Fred Feigly, longtime Buford resident, transacted business in the city last month. Casper Tangedanl arrived from the west and works the night shift at the pump house. Marg Marmon came from Grinnell and friends in town by FM. Harvey left for Dodson, Montana, to resume work as car repairer for the Great Northern. The Williams County State Bank offers general banking. visit them. D. F. King came from Fight Mile last Saturday. Ed Jack owns a handsome county ranch. Wm. Loughland attended the Williston board of county commissioners’ special session from Nelson. The courthouse contract was signed Saturday afternoon by commissioners and contractors. Geo Purvis article in Crookston Daily Times cited as Williston boom evidence. All invited to a Fourth of July call with Governor and Japanese guest, courtesy of Hepverson Bucks & Co. C. B. Shanley, Bishop Shui ley’s brother, was in town on Great Northern railway business. W. H. Denny, cashier of Williams County State Bank, is local agent for Mutual Life Insurance Co. of New York. call him to insure. G. W. Knee of St. Paul visited, owns two Main Street lots here. Mrs. James King keeps ice cream parlors neat and ready to serve ice cream and cakes in seasonable hours.

Fourth of July Celebration to Be Held in Williston

The 4th of July celebration at Williston North Dakota will feature bicycle and foot races, running prizes over ten thousand dollars in trotting and pony events, a broncho busting contest, a grand ball at the Williston pavillion, and a prominent brass band. The event will be held on the town’s Missouri River banks, with round trip tickets at special rates via the Great Northern Railway.
