Williams County Sunday School Convention Plans

The Williams County Sunday School Convention meets in our city on July 7 and 8 with Rev and Mrs W A Snow as state workers. Programs include morning talks at the Congregational and Methodist churches, a workers conference, a mass meeting at the opera house, and day sessions Monday in the Congregational church. Institute Attended as Williams County Teachers Institute Closes

The Williams County Teachers Institute drew about seventy instructors with strong interest high. Sessions featured Superintendent A. G. Crane Miss Ella Miller Valley City Nor mal and Miss Helen Davies Grand Forks. Dean Joseph Kennedy ND University spoke Wednesday at the Library. Crane lectured on Flies with stereopticon views. Thursday afternoon State Superintendent Taylor spoke on Professional Ethics and Superintendent Forster on humor in school life. The institute closes tomorrow.

Freight brake man hit by mail crane at Trenton

Frank P. Wayland a freight brake man from this city and formerly night ticket agent at the depot was struck on the head Sunday afternoon at Trenton by a mail crane and knocked from the train No 2. He was brought to the hospital Sunday evening and is able to be out of bed. Mr Henry Brinkman of Delwin Iowa and Mrs Brinkman visit with Frank Dormedy and family. the sisters are Mrs Brinkman and Mrs Dormedy.

Teachers Are Entertained at County Library Reception

A Monday evening library reception for teachers hosted by County Superintendent Tatem drew about one hundred guests. The program featured an address of welcome by Mayor Jackson, a response, vocal and violin solos, readings, and performances by the Jouroe and Stoneberg Trio, followed by refreshments and social time.
