Accidental Shell Explosion Injures Local Children

Last Monday afternoon children of J B Yuill and Thomas Shea playing near a stable found dynamite shells. One shell exploded wounding Jennie Yuill's left hand and face while another shell injuring a child named Shira's little girl in the eye. Several other children were hurt. Dr Van Dyke treated wounds but eye shell fragment could not be removed, and the girl was sent east for specialist care.

Warning notice against tying objects to dog’s tail

Notice warns that anyone tying tin cans or similar items to a dog’s tail will be prosecuted fully. Owner F. M. Williaton of N. D. states he has license to allow the dog to run at Ent and will protect him. Dated July 25, 1896.
