Ohio visitors from Springbrook gathered at O D Hardacre’s Williston North Dakota residence for the Fourth of July. Attendees included multiple Hardacre relatives and neighbors from Donnelaville Ohio, sharing a day that featured a large dinner and cake, with plans for some to return to Ohio in August. Local locomotive foreman C W Bellamy praises Electric Bitters for renewed health and strength. The ad notes Brownell & McPhee guarantee satisfaction at 50 cents.
Richard Gould from Central City Nebraska was arrested by Constable D D Davidson for allegedly enticing Eva Flint, a 15 year old, from Central City. The couple moved to Williston on June 12 and lived as husband and wife under the names Whittaker and Gled. Gould, a Free Methodist preacher, claims no offense. He remains in county jail awaiting sheriff delivery with requisition papers.
Mrs. M L Bobbitt of Bargerton Tennessee was dying from consumption. Doctors failed and remedies failed until Dr King’s New Discovery brought relief and cure, with bottles priced 60 cents and 1 dollar and trials free at Brownell and McPhee’s drugstore. A severe storm later ravaged the valley with hail the size of walnuts and a wall of water fifty feet long, washing out railroad track and wrecking vegetation. Another heavy rain followed, boosting North Dakota farmers raising their first crop.
Heavy showers rain fell in Hofflund this week as Prof Willer State Geologist visited. Norwe gian services were held at the Hofflund schoolhouse and several locals celebrated the Fourth at Hofflund and Ray. A boy named Warren Barwtad was kicked by a horse, injuring his forehead, but he is recovering. The Hofflund Fourth was smaller than usual due to other celebrations. A domestic note humorously suggests Dr Kings New Life Pills ease stomach and liver troubles.
Mean temperature for the month over twenty five years is 3.60. The current month’s mean is 62 with a high of 85 on the 17th and a low of 30 on the 10th. Total precipitation is 2.06 inches. There were 11 clear days, 8 partly cloudy days, and 11 cloudy days. Agent E. J. Glass reports.
An OCR fragment notes Bucklen’s Arnica Salve touted for pain from cuts wounds burns and piles, sold by Brownell & McPhe's druggists. It mentions farm and city property insurance at Pioneer Lab Office, and Mrs. W. H. Neese visiting Culbertson Mont. Church services at M E are listed with Rev. G W Howey. Dr Edmonds, formerly with Dr Van Dyke, is praised as well trained.

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Education at Williston North Dakota until a stated date for furnishing and installing a steam heating system at Wiliston High School. Bidders must deposit a certified check equal to five percent of bid with the treasurer. By order of the Board of Education Clerk Copeland Williston June.
