Wreck at Springbrook Station Hurts Dozen on Train No 3
A Great Northern passenger train derailed at Springbrook twelve miles east of Williston. Seven coaches were destroyed by fire after an acetylene tank exploded, injuring 26 people. Engine and a rear special car remained on track. Physicians and citizens hastened to the scene by special train. Names of the injured include Frank Lyon, A Cavannaugh, W J Michael, W H Logan, James Sullivan, Mary Lewis and many others.

Glendive Mondak project awarded to Helena contractor
Chas Stabern, a Helena contractor, wins a major portion of the Glendive Mondak work on the lower Yellowstone with bids exceeding 100000 dollars. His contract covers structural and bead work across divisions 1 2 and 8 including pile driving sheet piling concrete riprap and gate setting. Creeks crossing the canal are to be spanned in concrete flames with culverts and sluice-wave constructions for divisions 2 and 3. Awards were made by project engineer Frank Weymouth with final department confirmation anticipated. Work to begin within ninety days and finish by December 1.
