Williston Defeats Ross Boys In City Opera House Game
The Williston basketball team defeated the Ross boys 8 to 3 at the Opera House last Friday. Two Ross players were unable to play, fielding inexperienced substitutes including Truman Williams of White Earth. Visiting players included Ad McGlynn and Robert Zimmerman among others. Williston’s lineup featured Westergand, Smith, Jeffrey, Gase, Harvey, Ellithorpe, and Van Slyke officiating as referee. The event concluded with a social dance in which many attendees joined.
