Minneapolis December 29 Thomas D Shelvin millionaire lumber man Yale star died at his home from pneumonia after contracting a cold while training Yale football. He returned to Minneapolis last week and was placed to bed. Dr B W Sippy flew from Chicago on a nine hour 420 mile run to treat him but he did not recover. Survived by wife and two children. He carried about two million dollars in life insurance.

Bonetraill Farmer Edward Hillstad Dies on Christmas Day
Edward Hillstad 57 a Pioneer farmer near Bonetraill died in a Williston hospital from pneumonia after a cold. He came to Traill county earlier and built a prosperous life in Williams and Traill counties. Survived by a widow and ten children, he was active in Republican politics and local offices. Funeral services were held at the M E church and burial planned in Hillsboro Traill County.

Gruesome Remains Found Of Wildrose Man In Missouri
Passersby along the river bank half a mile below Raym's Ferry found a frozen, decomposed man. Coroner Distad and State's Attorney Owens recovered the body from the ice and brought it to Hamre's undertaking rooms. Missing hands and leg, a checkbook tied to Hans J. B. Olson of Wildrose showed last check dated December 18, 1914. Olson, seen last in Wildrose before Christmas, was believed to have taken about seventy five dollars and vanished. Authorities contacted Wildrose and learned of his relatives nearby.

Anderson of Mountrail Pleads Guilty to Second Degree Murder
Sheriff J. Th. Slaughter and others brought Andrew P. Anderson from Stanley to face Judge Wisk who accepted his guilty plea to murder in the second degree. He received a 25 year sentence in the state penitentiary. The victim Ole Halgren, 46, was killed after a dispute over threshing and an evening of whiskey. Mrs. Anderson witnessed the aftermath as Anderson stood over Halgren with a shotgun. Anderson, aged 25, had a wife and family, and Halgren left a wife and nine children.
