Death of Joe Cartier, Local Pioneer

Calves Sell Well As Three Calves Bring Good Returns
Larkin Hart sold three calves to Mr. DeLaney. An April calf and a May calf each weighed 725 pounds live, dressed 947 and 259 pounds respectively, with hides of 110 pounds. The Jersey calf was eight months old and poor at purchase but recovered under DeLaney. Hart earned a good sale. DeLaney cleared on the Jersey and the two spring calves will have mothers fresh this winter.
