A summary shows 7 miles main canal and 186 miles of ditches. tunnels and dams included. 812 miles of tunnels driven, 250 miles of telephone lines, 126 miles wagon road, 147 bridges, 50 buildings. Excavation 9.45 million cubic yards. concrete 70k cubic yards. other materials listed. Government cement mill and lumber, cement barrels produced. 1902 reform to present notes. Eleven projects approved, under construction, with estimated cost near 39 million dollars.
A major blaze in Arcadia Florida on December 4 wiped out nearly the entire business section with losses estimated around 250000 dollars. All but three brick buildings the King Seward and DeSoto blocks survived the flames.
Department of the Interior issues a contest notice for homestead entry No. 24097 filed by Ludvig C. Walla against William Lynch. Alleged six month abandonment and lack of improvement or residence are stated. Hearing set for January 30, 1905 before the Register and Receiver in Minot, with opposition due by June 24, 1906. Publication ordered due to failed personal service.
The Department of the Interim issues a contest notice filed by Charles Garrison regarding land entry 26305. It alleges the claimant has not resided cultivated or improved the land and abandoned the tract for more than six months, with absence not due to war service. Contestants must appear at 10 o clock a m on December 1 before the Register and Receiver in Minot ND. due to due diligence, publication is ordered.

The Williston City Council adopts an annual appropriation for the 1905 and 1906 fiscal years. Funds are allocated from general city lands for street repairs and improvements totaling 700 dollars and general purposes amounting to 940 dollars, with oversight by the City Auditor and Mayor.
