Williams County officials search for John Kuszyk a former McKenzie County farmer who allegedly left a farm near Alexander Friday with six horses held as collateral by George Noble of Alexander. Last seen headed toward Crosby and Epping, authorities fear the horses were hidden in coulees as warrants go out across neighboring counties.

Ferryman Is River Victim at Sioux Crossing
Carl Peterson assistant ferryman on the Sioux Crossing ferry drowned last Wednesday night after slipping from the boat while poling toward the Williams County shore. The water is about six feet deep and the body had not been recovered at press time. The same ferry had Oliver Stinson plunge to his death in a car last month.

Farmer Lundstrom Dies of Tuberculosis at 40

Mad steer escapes to river flat after wreck
Two Great Northern train men were injured and ten head of stock were killed in a rear end collision at Snowden Friday night between the Matador stock train and a way freight. The wreck collapsed two cattle cars. one steer survived the debris and fled. Engineers Wilt White and Henry Oliver, from Glasgow, were taken to Williston and later home. Investigations and responsibility determinations by Great Northern officials followed.
