School Board in Williston Selects Berg and Opens Trade School
At a meeting on August 18 1898 the Williston board accepted the resignation of Heffernan and elected Olaf Berg to fill the vacancy. J C Stewart joined the board and William Freeman was named president for the ensuing year. A three month trade school term was set and three rooms to begin with with Mike Williams to lead the primary department. A contract was authorized for drafting between the board and the purchasing agent was authorized to buy 40 texts and desks.
