Miss Ryan visited Loken’s on Tuesday while Frank Kelly completed his barn. Dillree painted his residence this week. Oie and Peterson of Williston visited Marmon Sunday. Sweet corn and butter are popular though frost damaged cucumbers and muskmelons. Burke hauled pigs to Wildrose, then starts threshing for Wheeler of Williston. E F Brown family visit Lokens. Pauline Loken will stay at Island Park during E F's absence.

Fram Farmers Club Meeting Near Arnsons in August

The Fram Farmers club met at Mr. and Mrs. Sam Arnsons on August 9 and was well attended. Harvest is underway as farmers stay busy. The town board held a special session with the Bonetrails board last Saturday evening. Erek Hoff and sons harvest with their gas tractor. Carl Eggen filed on the last quarter of land as a new township settler. Hans P. Johnson traveled to Medicine Lake last week after delivering lumber for schoolhouses.

Peters Appointed Animal Husbandman in North Dakota Station

C W H Peters, professor at Manitoba Agricultural College, is named Animal Husbandman at the North Dakota Experiment Station. He will devote full time to investigative work and has built Manitoba’s live stock department into a large unit. Peters led two Manitoba livestock demonstration trains and aided with North Dakota’s program, bringing relevant experience for the station’s growing livestock work beginning in September.
