Wheat cutting begins and local farming notes

The local correspondence notes wheat cutting has begun and N. R. Fye is prospecting for another well. Lewey Harness burial of their six weeks old child last Tuesday. A fine rain last Saturday favors late oats and flax. The Stady nine were set to play Rudser nine, but Rudser players fled to the hills. Raynard Elemgreen hosted a gathering in his new house Saturday night.

Louie Huntsberger helps Alex Turcott with haying chores. Mrs R C Snook suffers a head wound from a bracket lamp accident Tuesday. Markenson and Ferrell of Wilbur hay on Mr Markenson's claim. Leonard Logan reports a new well. T F Cook and family visited. Wm Garrett at home Thursday. John McGrath and wife seen nearby Sunday.

LYNDALE Social Notes From A Busy Week

J Onstad traveled to Williston and back with a new binder. The Squires dance drew a large crowd on Saturday with lunch by Mesars Lunmark and Lunditt. A flashlight photo by Mr Hanson of Squires captured the crowd as dancing continued past midnight. Friday rain lifted farmers hopes for crops, improving prospects for potatoes corn hay and pasture land. Wil liams county is praised and promises guidance for spring planting and homestead improvements.

Muddy Valley Notes and Community Resolutions

Haying dominates the day as Mrs. N Newman shops in Williston and Mrs. John Wagenman recovers from illness. E W Jeffrey heads to Sparta for military encampment while others visit homesteads and attend church. The Helping Hand Society hosts a quilt blocks gathering and issues condolence resolutions for Lottie Hanna dated July 27 1910.

Rainbow Valley Farmers Harvest Activity and Social Notes

Farmers busy with hay cutting and grain harvest. Sam Roe, M Vedvick, and J Harter bought new binders last week. Elsie Petty now homesteading. Rain Saturday evening aids flax and late wheat and oats.

Pleasant Hill Social Visits and Birthday Parties

Mr and Mrs 8 H Trumbo and family plus Mr and Mrs Rheuben Young and their daughter Violet and Mr and Mrs Floyd Trumbo with Seneda spent Sunday with Louis Dahl. Dahl went to Epping on business Tuesday. Albert Rostvold drove Sunday and visited Louis Dahl. Dahl attended a township meeting at J F Cooks home. Signora Dahl joined a birthday party at C Wicks Springbrook. May and Leon celebrated close birthdays. Lina Buck attended a party hosted by May and Lena Wick.

Last dance a success. localers report social and crops hit hard

Marion notes a successful hall dance raising twenty two dollars for the base bi boys. Earl Smith to move his new store next week. hail storms devastate Little Muddy valley crops with potatoes and corn ruined. Marmon and Bonetraill baseball results favored Marmon 16 to 4.
