Minneapolis Men Ten Visit Williston Trade Tour Announcement

The Minneapolis Civic and Commerce Association announces its Fifth Annual Trade Tour to forty four North Dakota and Montana towns. A twelve car special train will carry ninety to one hundred leading manufacturers, wholesalers, bankers and other Northwest business leaders with a band and speakers. The trip aims to foster business and social ties and acquaint the visited cities with Minneapolis firms. Route runs Grand Forks to Havre to Great Falls Lewistown and Billings then Forsyth Miles City and Glendive with tentative hours to be set. 320 Acre farm known as the new Lemire farm sold for 11000 to Mrs Jonetta M Leite of Petersburg ND by the First State Bank cashier Louis Hagen. Germans tighten belt as Americans barred from leaving

In Geneva and Paris on April 26 reports say Germans seal borders and prohibit foreigners from leaving Germany for twenty days. Americans in Germany face travel obstacles with the Baden frontier closed and mail routes cut. Directors Call General Meeting

The directors of the commercial club call for a general meeting next Tuesday at the courthouse at 8 p m. A large attendance is urged as matters of deep importance will be presented including the potential hire of a paid secretary. Traveling Salesman Dies In Williston

E. Parsons a salesman for Morris Mann & Riley in this territory for eight to ten years died at a local hospital Monday night from a bowel complication. He was taken ill at the Great Northern hotel and an operation revealed advanced tuberculosis of the bowel. His wife was summoned from Minneapolis and arrived before his death. Remains were taken to Minneapolis Tuesday. The deceased was well known and highly esteemed locally.

Endorsement Meeting for Governor Burdick Draws Farmers

A large Williston turnout at the courthouse showcased Burdick for Governor supporters. W S Overson led the Burdick club as members urged letters of endorsement to bolster his campaign among farmers and county allies. Burdick spoke over an hour outlining constitutional framing and core liberal principles to broad approval.
