T R McDonald won blue ribbon with his Michigan Amber wheat in a twelve entry contest then displayed at Broadie and Anderson hardware store. Amos Lower badly cut his right foot with an axe and needed a physician and stitches. Mrs Lower felt pain but rested better. Helen Maxine Anderson eleven months old daughter of Mr and Mrs Will Anderson northeast of Independence died Saturday night. Rev Donnelson of Attica conducted the funeral Monday from the home with burial in Riverside cemetery.

Plane Crash Near Attica Ends Test Flight
Charles MacDermond owned Curtiss airplane that failed to fly after reaching about 100 feet near Attica Friday. Pilot Rupert Julian and Ralph McDermond attempted a test when the engine quit due to worn parts. The craft landed safely but suffered about $250 in damage. repairs planned at once.
