Obituary recounts Elisha Little born October 13 1837 in Adams township Indiana served 1861 1864 in Indian Volunteer infantry married three times and fathered four surviving children. He lived near Pine Village moved to Williamsport and died August 31 1918 aged eighty years ten months and eighteen days with funeral services at the Methodist church and interment in Mound cemetery.

Barn Destroyed by Lightning on Gephart Farm
A Medina township barn five miles southwest of Otterbein on Charles Gephart’s farm was struck by lightning last Friday at about two in the morning. The blaze consumed the barn and 1600 bushels of corn six tons of hay harness and tools. No livestock were housed at the time. The fire caused a loss over 4000 with only small insurance.

Attica Tragedy: Man Kills Wife Then Dies by Carbolic Acid

Last Friday morning a roof blaze at Thomas Mills residence destroyed the roof and most of the second floor. Firefighters, hampered by distance to a hydrant, fought the flames with one hose while neighbors aided in saving household goods. Owner Mrs. Isaac Rater owns the insured building near Winthrop. Lightning was suspected with a severe electrical storm nearby.
