Runaway Buggy Injures Attica Girls On Way To School
Miss Delphine Cline, Miss Anna Allen, and Miss Alma Perrigo of Attica narrowly escaped serious injury when a buggy wheel failed on a hill near the John Farmer home. Cline suffered cuts and bruises to the head and face and lips, Allen cut on a hand, Perrigo bruised but none seriously. all continued to school except Cline who stayed home.

Fowler Man Electrocuted In Storm Wire Repair
Fred Mohr 41 longtime Interstate Public Service superintendent at Fowler was killed instantly while repairing downed wires after a Sunday storm. He crossed a live line, received a fatal shock, and died on scene as colleague John Simmons failed to revive him. He left a widow two sons and a stepdaughter.

Mrs Harriet Farmer Dies After Sudden Illness
Mrs Harriet Farmer 65, wife of Sylvester Farmer, died suddenly last Friday after short illness with heart disease. She lived most of her life in Warren township near Winthrop and is survived by her husband, two children William and Mrs Harry McKinzie, brothers James Bell and Charles Bell, and sister Mrs Oliver Talbott. Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. from the home, Rev William Saylor officiating, with burial in Quaker cemetery.

Jesse Chapman a West Lebanon garment cleaner was tried for non support. Judge Berry fined Chapman five dollars and costs and ordered three dollars weekly support for wife and baby. Chapman received a suspended three year term at the State Penal Farm conditional on compliance with court orders.

A W Daily Arrested For Drunken Public Disturbance
A W Daily Winthrop store keeper was picked up by Marshal Joe Russell Wednesday in an intoxicated condition. He was jailed and fined 11.30 after a hearing before the Justice of the Peace. Daily’s wife filed for divorce citing cruel and inhuman treatment. McCabe and Sons are retained by Daily. Divorce proceedings were filed last Tuesday.

Sudden Death of Mrs Taylor Cronk Near West Lebanon
Mrs Taylor Cronk aged lady two miles from West Lebanon was found dead in her chair by her husband Wednesday forenoon. Heart trouble was the immediate cause. She is survived by a husband and two sons Victor near Williamsport and Bay of Little Rock Ark.
