A long parade on Monroe street led by a martial band showcased a quarter mile procession through Williamsport with speeches by Kaestonsiury and sost. A flag ceremony, Star Spangled Banner and address by Ralph Collyer highlighted the event as townsfolk praised patriotism and community effort.

Congress sets age range 21 to 30 for the draft and adds a ban on alcohol sales at training camps. Conscription registration notices expected within days. Williamsport State Bank hires new clerks and notes resignations
On Wednesday morning Fredrio Ritenour and Chamias Poscell Jr. started work at Williamsport State Bank. Cyrus Evans and domerson Davis resigned, the latter joining the U S infantry. Ritenour has five years as deputy county clerk and handles clerical tasks. Powell was clerking at Haller's store in Attica. County Clerk Cowell will run the office solo through the summer.

The Methusiah Club met at Mrs. H. D. Billings home to begin a Red Cross organization in the city. Miss Shoemaker Dean of the Women of Purdue University spoke guiding the formation and distributed application blanks to mail to Washington. Officers will be elected and the group perfected upon their return.
