A toothpick he swallowed long ago was expelled during tests, lodging in the esophagus and causing an abscess to form. Doctors believe removal may lead to recovery.

T. Leslie Heyland, one of the young men with the展示 tank exhibited April 24, died in a motor accident south of Kirklin near Frankfort early Friday. He was struck by a rear vehicle while guiding a recovery, and died of a ruptured diaphragm. Heyland, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Hayland of Chicago, formerly Lafayette resident, had private funeral services in Lafayette Monday.

A man who gave the name William Maursey of Decatur TI says he fell from a Wabash train Friday night and remained unconscious until morning. He was found by O A Newman at the Barnhart farm across the river with head and facial injuries and back pain, hat recovered near the river bridge showing the fall site.
