Chauncy Musselman, a rural mail carrier, escaped serious injury when his auto was struck by passenger Train No 9 near West Lebanon road. The car was demolished and mail scattered, but Musselman walked away with a few scratches and a mental shock. He retrieved another car and resumed his route, while the damaged vehicle Lizzie was towed into town with slim hopes of repair.

County Superintendent Harry Evans has secured Hon. Michael Foley of Crawfordsville Indiana to address the War Mothers in Williamsport Sunday afternoon May 12 at 7 p m. Mrs. Charles V. McAdams died at the Wabash Valley sanitarium in Lafayette after fifteen years of illness. Born in Terre Haute, she lived in Indianapolis and Lafayette and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Indianapolis. She leaves a husband and two children Frederick and Mary Irene, plus her mother, siblings, and in laws. Frederick, 25, serves with the Royal Air Force in Canada. Mary Irene attends Smith College in Massachusetts.
