Eacret arraigned for theft at Attica garage
James Eacret aged 20 was arraigned before Judge Ratcliff for stealing about two dollars from a Thornton garage cash register in Attica. He received a suspended sentence contingent on good behavior and 90 day cost payment after burglary charges were reduced to petit larceny. Fingerprint evidence led to his confession after investigation by Sheriff Stewart and Thornton.

Dr. C. G. Beckett Named District Medical Officer
Dr. C. G. Beckett of Attica has been appointed District Medical Officer for the United States Veterans’ Bureau and will be stationed in Evansville. He leaves Attica Tuesday night to assume advisory duties for disabled veterans in his district. Beckett, a veteran of World War I with the 124th Field Artillery, has practiced in Attica since 1905 and will retain his Attica office. He was the first Attica physician to volunteer for federal service and the last to be discharged. He expects to continue in government service and not return to Attica unless unsatisfied.

Obituary of Robert C. Anderson of Indiana
Robert C. Anderson born December 6 1861 in Warren County Indiana died March 18 1922 in Cloverdale Indiana at age 60. He lived in Warren County most life then moved to Cloverdale two years ago. He was twice married first to Emma Braden of Attica and had a son Clarence. He later married Elizabeth Howard. Funeral services were held at the graveside in West Lebanon officiated by Rev. Dean. He is survived by his wife several brothers and sisters and a large circle of friends.
