Robert Kelley Veteran Warren County resident dies in Boswell
Robert Kelley longtime resident of Warren county dies at his Boswell home Friday afternoon and is buried at Pine Village. He spent years in the county north end and was known by many older citizens. Kelley was thrice married, with marriages to his first wife, to Rebekah Metsker sister of County Assessor James Metsker, and back to his first wife. He worked in the Roswell grocery business after leaving farming and is survived by two brothers Allen Kelley of Lafayette and Washington Kelley of Kansas City Missouri.

Rupert Julian son of Mr. and Mrs. I N Julian will be brought home from Hawaii after an airplane accident weeks ago. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 PM from the Methodist church with Rev John E McCloud of Kentland officiating assisted by Rev Israel Hatton. The American Legion Post will conduct services and Sigma Pi fraternity members of Lafayette will serve as pallbearers.

West Lebanon Girl Has Ear bead Removed Under Anesthesia
Little Miss Jane Judy of West Lebanon inserted a bead in her ear during play. Physician could not remove it, leading to transfer to Danville where an anaesthetic was used to extract the bead along with tonsils and adenoids. She is recovering well.

A Warren circuit court suit seeks $190000 plus costs against R. M. Hatton former Williamsport town clerk and treasurer for alleged shortages totaling 7500 plus 515189. A grand jury indicted Hatton after state auditors traced funds from 1918 to 1928. Hatton bond set at 5000. he claims no money misappropriated and awaits re auditing.

Attica Boy Aims for Hollywood With Saxophone
Charles Purviance a 12 year old from Attica ran away Sunday with a saxophone and $17 in his mother’s pocket. He rode a Danville bus toward Hollywood to pursue acting, was traced to Danville, later arrested in St Louis as he tried to continue west. He said a music teacher told him a saxophonist could find work anywhere.

Editor’s Brother Killed In Auto Train Collision
Editor I W Cripe of the Review Republican travels to Frankfort after his brother Jacob Cripe a traveling salesman for R P Shanklin Co wholesale grocers is killed in a crash when his auto collides with a Northern Indiana Power traction car at a crossing one mile west of West Middleton. Motorman John Modlin of Marion is seriously injured as the car derails bringing down poles and blocking traffic. Cripe aged about fifty five.

The McCormick Bros general store in Ambia was broken into Wednesday night last week. About $500 in shoes and several hundred dollars of other merchandise were stolen. Entry was gained by prying a door with a crowbar. investigators suspect out of town burglars who likely fled in a car.

Warren county native born 1885 died Monday at 12:05 at the Lafayette soldiers home from pneumonia. Her first husband William Newman died about sixty years ago. She later married Civil War veteran Charles Myers of Battery C 4th U. S. artillery, who is also deceased. Funeral held yesterday at the soldiers home.
