Charles Metsker and Miss Bessie McBride, prominent Warren County youths, were married Wednesday afternoon by Rev. George W. Watson at his Lafayette home. The bride, daughter of Mr and Mrs James McBride, has strong ties to Pine Village. the groom is son of County Assessor James Metsker and trains at Camp Shelby Mississippi. The couple spent Wednesday night in Lafayette and returned to Pine Village to await the groom’s departure for training camp Saturday.

Adopted Son Paul Anderson Dies of Pneumonia
Paul Anderson, adopted son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Anderson of near this city, died Sunday at 2 PM at the home of Mrs. Anderson's parents near Hillsboro after illness that began with pneumonia and progressed to brain fever. The child, age three, had been cared for by the Andersons since custody after his parents’ death. His funeral was held at the Anderson home Wednesday and interment was at Riverside Cemetery in Attica near his mother.
