Twenty-one Club Holds Annual Banquet and Carnival
The Twenty-one Club hosted its annual banquet at the suburban home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Ringer last Friday. A street fair style program included a tight rope walk, suffragette parade, a popular shooting gallery run by Mrs. Emerson Davis, and a snake charmers display. Mrs. Broadie was named champion thrower after knocking down three pictures. Mrs. Madaus and Mrs. Kelly performed with real snake skins and a fortune teller, telling past and future events. The white mule behind a curtain drew crowds, and a quiz on current events led by Mesdares Biggs and Slauter engaged members. Objections were raised by Mrs. Evans and Messrs. Gregory, Davis and Biggs. New and honored members include Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Gregory. The club praised Miss Mignon Miller and the Ringers for their help and artistic sketches, closing another successful entertainment.

Mrs Rosa Smith Dead In Attica After Short Illness
Mrs Rosa Smith wife of Charles Smith of Attica died at their home Tuesday after a brief illness. She was 53 and survived by her husband and four children. Born near Independence she was twice married, her first husband Hayes James having died. Funeral services were held at the home by the Wabash depot in Attica yesterday at 2 39 PM with burial in Riverside cemetery south of Attica.

The Williamsport School Board let a $13 483 50 contract to Harding & Co for two two room sectional school buildings including complete construction and finishes. Two rival bids were higher. The board cites emergency due to 259 winter pupils and lack of available idle buildings, urging patrons to support speedy erection to meet state requirements.

Arianna M Craft born September 16 1842 in Fredericktown Ohio lived in Crown Point West Lebanon Williamsport and Williamsport where she died July 21 1920 after years of illness. She married Peter W Fleming in 1869 and left a legacy as a civic church and social figure. Survived by husband a daughter L B Chandler a stepson and siblings. Funeral held July 24 at the family residence with Rev John McCloud. interment West Lebanon cemetery.

Junk Buyer Dies Driving to West Lebanon
John J. Shaw, 75, inmate of the Danville Soldiers' Home, died of heart disease while driving a junk wagon near West Lebanon. Discovered by local grocer Wm. Odle, Shaw was unrelievedly found crumpled. Coroner Michaels was notified. He was buried at the Soldiers Home cemetery in Danville.
