Mrs Harrison Hickman a Warren county resident for most of her life died at her Attica home Wednesday afternoon at 4 10. She had been ill for months but worsened four months ago. Survived by husband and two daughters Mrs C W Rozell near Winthrop and Mrs B O Hudler of this city. Services at 2 50 Friday from the home. Interment Riverside cemetery.

Mrs. Kathryn Garrison of Pence district startled by a two foot rattlesnake on a pantry shelf as she cleaned. The snake struck her left shoulder but did not bite. her husband, Tommy Milton Garrison, killed the reptile. It marks the third snake killed on his farm.

Leaf Hop Damage Causes Potato Tip Burn Disease
Potatoes show tip burn where leaf edges brown and leaves yellow then die. The leaf hops feed on leaf veins, causing drying and death. Young greenish bugs move on the leaf undersides and edge. John Mankey obituary a Warren county pioneer farmer
John Mankey born July 31 1846 near Nineveh Greene Co Pennsylvania died July 15 1923 aged 76 11 14. Youngest son of John and Elizabeth Kinney Mankey he outlived brothers Warren George Qilver and sister Mrs nnah Loughman. He moved to Warren county Indiana as a youth after the Civil War settled near Rainsville Indiana. He married Margaret Butler in 1869 and had five children Jennie William Warren Anna and Dessie all living. He farmed and raised stock most of his life, with years near Rossville Illinois, surviving spouses and children.
