Mrs Bodine Burned In Attica Explosion
Mrs Fred Bodine and her baby escaped with their lives after an explosion in Attica. Flames enveloped her clothing as neighbors rushed in to aid, tearing away burning fabric and rescuing the infant from the room. She survived severe burns to hips and limbs and was moved to Correll Boyd’s ambulance for care.

Pine Village Minister Nathan S. Oxborn Dies
Nathan S. Oxborn longtime Pine Village minister died at his home Sunday morning after a long illness and a hospital stay in Lafayette for an operation. He was about 68 years old and had spent most of his life near Pine Village. Early in life he taught, later preached for the Free Methodist church, and then returned to farming. Survived by children Mrs. U. S. Ferguson Attica Clint Luther Oxborn Mrs. Allen Hall and Mrs. Otis Watkins of Pine Village. twenty two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral Tuesday at 10 from the Free Methodist church Pine Village with Rev. Niswonger assisted by Rev. McKinnel and Rev. Watson. burial Pine Village cemetery.

Clifton R Handley 24 telegraph operator and Gladys Roe 21 of Tab wed Wednesday in Tab by Rev Bradner K Wells of the Presbyterian church. Handley is son of Ford G Handley of West Virginia and Roe is daughter of Mr and Mrs James F L Roe. Roe had previous marriage ended in divorce.

Obituary and Reminiscence of I D High from Pine Village
The long life of Isaac David High is recalled with roots in Berks County Pennsylvania and Indiana. Born March 6 183?, he married Margaret Hindman in 1880 and raised six children near the old home, including John H and William E. and daughters in Pine Village Terre Haute Carbondale and elsewhere. He served in the Civil War with Co. B 55th Indiana and led as president of the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Boswell. He died May 4 1917 and his wife May 4 1917. he is remembered as a steadfast civic figure, a Mason and G A R member, with a reputation for public virtue and family devotion.

Remains of Rufus Brandenburg Brought for Burial
Rufus M Brandenburg a former Warren county resident died Wednesday last week at age 59. His funeral was held from the Methodist church in this city after a life spent in Warren county. He was born south of West Lebanon and lived on farms near Shadeland Lafayette and elsewhere. Survivors include a wife and several children.

Man Rescued After Drink Fails Attempted Suicide
In Morne area Thomas Phipps and wife Wues found him with a razor wound to the throat after a failed self harm attempt. Dr Porter and Mr Wasser treated the wound and he was said to be improving. Phipps, aged and ill, is to be moved to the Seiceers Home in Danville for care.
