Battle Ground Camp Prepares for Epworth League Institute
Battle Ground officials describe extensive improvements at the camp grounds for the Epworth League Institute set for July 19 to 26. A new 35 by 90 foot swimming pool with depths from two to eight feet will attract attendees, plus two new tennis courts. Two Fingers Amputated After Oil Station Accident
Ira Evans suffered a severe injury at the oil station when a barrel slipped and trapped his left hand. The middle and ring fingers required amputation at the first joints. the pinky was badly mashed but may be saved. The report appears in the West Lebanon Gazette.
