Obituary of Everett A Farthing of Indiana and Michigan
Everett A Farthing was born in Warren County Indiana on June 25 1874. He married Mary Graff in 1900 and had two children Ruby Dean who died in infancy and John who survives. He moved to Michigan in 1910 with his family then returned to Indiana after his wife died later that year. He married Josephine Leif in 1912 and died January 24 after a period of illness. Funeral services were held at his Attica home with interment in Riverside Cemetery.

Overheated stove sparks small Odle Bakery fire
Fire origin traced to overheated stove caused about 200 dollars in damage at Odle Bakery Wednesday night. Boys playing pool in an adjoining room smelled smoke and alerted others. Flour and sugar had to be discarded and the sponge for the day’s bake destroyed. The shop suffered notable damage but was repaired quickly and only one day’s business was lost. The blaze started around twelve o’clock.
