The Wabash Valley and Fountain Warren Poultry Associations host the annual show at Community Hall with over 300 birds on display from local and outside fanciers. Rabbits also mark their largest exhibit, with extensive prize lists for Anconas to Rhode Island Reds and many cups awarded for best of show.

Sheriff O L Stewart nabbed a car thief at a local filling station after Danville police flagged a Ford owned by Albert Cromshire of Marshfield. The suspect Oliver Hill of Lafayette admitted thefts, was held on $500 bond, and awaits February court action.

Celebrate Golden Wedding of James and Margaret Stewart
James and Margaret Stewart celebrated their golden wedding anniversary near Independence last Sunday with all their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren present. The couple emigrated to this country in 1880 and settled nearby. Mr. Stewart, born in 1849 in Indiana, and Mrs. Stewart, born in 1850 in Kentucky, have witnessed frontier development and primitive living, and are honored as they mark fifty years of marriage.
