Max McCullough Dies at 28 in Crawfordsville
Max McCullough former resident of this city died at twenty eight in Crawfordsville after brief illness. He was the son of Dr and Mrs A K McCullough and survived by his wife Susie Alkire and a daughter born four months ago. He had lived near Lafayette before moving to Crawfordsville to run a battery service station. Funeral services were held at Jacob Sheffer home conducted by the local Masonic lodge with Rev J E McCloud delivering the sermon and burial in Highland cemetery.

R L Mehaffey of Chicago employed by Alex Getz Poultry Co. was ground to death beneath the wheels of a train at West Lebanon on Monday. He stood at the door of his car as a passing train moved slowly, was thrown under the other train, and killed. Coroner Eldo Michaels handled the case.

Albert St. Peacock, Attica newspaper man and community leader born April 16, 1863, dies at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. He apprenticed as a printer, ran the Ledger with partner Harry C. Martin, and influenced politics including campaigns for Harrison, Beveridge, and other leaders. Survived by wife Nellie, daughter Mrs. Ed Campbell, four grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, and many friends. He served as Attica postmaster for three terms and led the Attica chautauqua. Attica mourns a premier citizen.
