Highway Superintendents to Meet at Purdue Road School

Farm House Burns On Dan Bowlus Farm Near Attica
The Dan Bowlus farm three miles southwest of here owned by John C. Ritenour of Attica burned early Thursday morning. Mr and Mrs W E Wakeman occupied the house with their granddaughters Esther and Floy Winks spending holidays there. The fire destroyed nearly all Wakeman possessions after gaining headway before discovery forcing the family to flee in night clothes.

Burglars Strike Three Attica Stores In Night Raid
Burglars broke into O C DeSelms jewelry store F M Lauman grocery and J A Coffing furniture between 1 and 2 am Tuesday. DeSelms lost about 400 dollars with jewelry including gold watches chains and pendants. Entry gained by door glass removal and back door smashing at Lauman. Coffing believed target was a car. Detectives tracked suspects Clark Presa William Stearne and Victor Salmon from Danville to Wabash depot where a grip with most jewelry was found.
