Trustees of Warren County townships selected William Davis to fill the unexpired term of Harry Evans who died on Christmas Day. Davis, longtime Williamsport educator and former trustee, won the vote 8 to 1 over R W Lehner with Elias Brewer also a candidate.

Ford Car Stolen From Williamsport Garage
Charles Watkins reported his Ford car stolen from a private garage on Third street Monday night around 9. Police and Williamsport Detective Company investigated. The car, not new but in fair condition with a Delphi top and four tires, was found abandoned in Danville Tuesday with eight gallons of gas used and the radiator dry. Deputy Sheriff Sam Frame retrieved it from Danville.

Wireless opera class to use Chicago Grand Opera concerts
Indiana University will offer a new music course using wireless grand opera. Instruments at the university station receive nightly concerts from Chicago and other cities for classroom study in modern opera with regular credit. Dean Merrill and John Geimer will interpret the performances to students, who expect a rush for extra seats. Plans exist to transmit concerts to wireless stations across the state.

Purdue plans farmers short course week in January
