Breaks Neck in Barnyard Death of George Collins
George Collins aged 42 living near the state line in Warren county was found dead in his barnyard last Saturday evening after milking. Coroner Stewart ruled death by slipping on ice and striking head, breaking the neck. Survived by wife and two daughters. funeral held at the Christian church in Alvin.

Modern Woodman Officer Dead in Danville
George W. Reilley aged 66 rose from a Danville harness maker to one of five national leaders of the Modern Woodmen of America. He died at St Elizabeth's hospital Danville at 3 15 Sunday morning from a ruptured gall bladder likely starting last Thursday. He had lived in Danville fifty years and served as grand lecturer shaping the national fraternal body.

Soldier Dale Kerr recalls WWI service in France and influenza recovery
In a Christmas letter from Toul France dated November 24 1918 Dale Kerr writes about his first combat at Soissons bayoneting a German and other attacks in the Toul sector and Argonne. He recounts a close shell strike a seven day listening post and illness at Vittel Base 23 hospital before returning to Toul awaiting homecoming and sends best wishes to his family and wife.

The Fountain and Warren Poultry Show will mark the tenth annual exhibit in Covington the third week in January from the 21st to 25th. Trustees Receive Salary Increases Across Indiana Townships

How Hog Cholera Is Controlled
The Bureau of Animal Industry of the U S Department of Agriculture vaccinated 5 5 million hogs against cholera last year and reduced average losses in infected herds to under 13 percent with anti hog cholera serum.
