A robbery at Independence store owned by George Munson occurred last Thursday. A small portion of goods may have been taken. no thief, hour, or definite items are known. Woodworth bloodhounds from Danville were used with no clues. The postmaster’s area remained undisturbed. House for rent A. W. Harper.
Warren circuit court judge Berry issued a final order enjoining Trustee Wurtsbaugh from building a Steuben consolidated school at Marshfield with costs estimated between 30 000 and 40 000 and barring contractors from proceeding. The taxpayers sued to stop the expenditure and prevent payments. Wurtsbaugh had already awarded a Danville bid.
Mr and Mrs Walter Hogan hosted a Christmas dinner with guests John Hopkins Mr and Mrs George McCord Mr and Mrs George Peck and daughters Florence and Eunice of Attica and Frank Swansen and family. Dan Tague announced a Republican Sheriff candidacy for the May Primary, recalling his 1906 election and memorable past.

Contrary to belief Indiana volunteers can still enlist in the Navy after December 5. Applicants may obtain a certificate from their local Board proving they are not needed to fit a living defile for enlistment through a postmaster or Navy Recruiting Station. Men are needed in seamen, mechanics, carpenters and musicians across branches.
