Violent incident shocks Covington area with shooting spree

In Covington and nearby Williamsport a man identified as Riggin shot at his wife and adopted son, fired from his home, then surrendered after neighbors confronted him. A separate hunting accident near Covington left Hieron Cole severely wounded, hospitalized in Lakeview.

Potato Day and Draft Questionnaire Plans

Students at the Princess School host Potato Day to raise funds for Red Cross. The Warren County Exemption Board schedules mailing of a sixteen page draft questionnaire to about 800 registrants, starting on the 17th, with five percent mailed daily, requiring seven days to respond.

Williamsport garage project outlined with new building plans

Auto Overturn Near Highland Cemetery

Dewey Hullihan narrowly escaped death when his car overturned on the hill near Highland cemetery last Saturday. He was brought to the city for medical care and later returned to his home near Riverside. Russell Hunter, who accompanied him, escaped with a few bruises.
