Van Reed to Build Fireproof Garage in Lafayette
Lee Van Reed president of Warren County Bank plans a 70 by 126 foot lot at Seventh and Main in Lafayette for a two story fireproof garage and auto sales building with storage on the second floor. Total project cost about 65000 dollars. The Hudson company assigns Van Reed a large territory to sell Hudson and Kissex cars and make Lafayette the distributor for the region. Williamsport loses him yet he will split time between the two cities after opening.

Barn Struck by Lightning on Marshfield Farm
A barn on Mrs Mary J White’s farm near Marshfield was destroyed by a Sunday afternoon lightning strike. Eighteen to twenty tons of hay and straw, harness, and one horse were lost. James White, son of the owner, raced to the blaze but could not approach as flames gushed from every door. A small insurance covered the harness.

William Taylor 1825 1919 Indiana farmer with six children
William Taylor was born in Lan caster county Ohio on January 7 1825 and died August 19 1919 at age 92 years 7 months 12 days. He moved with his parents to Indiana in 1835 settled near Attica. He married Julia Cook in 1849 and they had six children four surviving Alta Atkens Mary Mc Cardle James B Taylor and Eliza Pearson. He died in Indianapolis and was buried in Salem cemetery east of Attica with Rev John McCloud officiating.
