Child of former resident dies under mysterious poisoning
Herbert Sydney Pellam seven year old son of Mr and Mrs Daniel Pellam former Pine Village residents died at his grandmother Mrs Ambler home in Mulberry at 140 AM from strychnine poisoning. Uncle Wesley Ambler 28 who bought the poison and later shared chocolates with the boy’s family is suspected though the family believes accidental exposure. The stomach was sent to Indianapolis for analysis and the father worked at a Lafayette creamery.
