In Kkural Municipality Buffalo two polls elected councillors with F Ketcheson and Alf P Owens winning in divisions 1 and 5 respectively. The 1919 council includes Reeve J Wallace and members F Ketcheson T F Mule Wimrie A Cotter Alf P Owens KH J McAustan with C H Martin as secretary treasurer. In Reford Tim Curtin won reeve by about thirty votes over John M James. Prairie Division 2 elected Knute Bjerness over Tom Plater by 12 votes. Wilkie Post Office November returns show Notes sold 463.67 and 318.59 for Postal notes. Money Orders sold 8177.74 paid 3961.00.

Fire damages home as gasoline fumes ignite blaze
Friday morning at 10 o clock a fire at R Rea's home started from gasoline vapor while Mrs Rea cleaned garments with gaso line in a lean to kitchen adjoining the house. She threw the burning receptacle aside to save herself but suffered burns and received medical attention. The alarm called men to extinguish flames which scorched much interior woodwork. Mrs Rea is reported progressing satisfactorily.
