Parnell Denies Involvement In O Shea Divorce Suit

Mr Parnell writes to the Freeman's Journal saying he received no notice of being a co respondent in Captain O Sheas divorce case. He claims since 1850 he lived at Eltham with Captain O Shea, while Houston denies instigating the action. Captain O Shea says the Times and Houston knew nothing of the suit before it became public.

Senate committee probes dressed beef trade in New York

In New York the Senate committee on transportation and sale of US products met at the Hoffman House to hear witnesses led by Chairman West of Missouri.
