Philadelphia store touts silk umbrellas with gold and silver handles from 2.50 to 6.00 and a wide range of gifts including silk mufflers cashmere handkerchiefs and table linens. The sale runs to Christmas with reduced silks 150 cent yard prices and tickets with every dollar buys entry to a Grand One Thousand Dollar Music Box drawing ending Christmas morning.
A local promotion at 405 East Douglas avenue continues with prize drawings as merchandise is sold. Each sale over five dollars earns a present, and numbers drawn yield items such as gold watches and a silver dessert set. The box never has blanks and numbers are returned for repeated chances.
