Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Tom Bean, with burial at Warden Cemetery. He was born May 2, 1876 in Burksville Kentucky, married Edith Wilson in 1903, and was a retired farmer. Surviving: his wife, a daughter Mrs. William Hollensed, three brothers Finis Garrett, Charles Garrett, Fred Garrett, and a grandson Jack Hollensed.
