Whitewright Cotton Gins Report Strong Week
Up to Thursday morning the three Whitewright gins had received 2,847 bales of cotton, a gain of 789 bales since last Thursday. Cotton is yielding more per acre than expected three weeks ago and receipts this year may exceed last year. Farmers are getting about half a bale per acre, with lint at 8.90 and seed at 22 dollars a ton.
