Fragmented Thought on Merit and Cleverness
A reflective, ambiguous line argues the value of merit and moral satisfaction from escaping a condition. It contrasts a woman's dissatisfaction with a man able to do two tasks differently, implying gendered expectations and cleverness as a social measure.
