Lonnie McCartney returned a punt to the Honey Grove 17, Alan Norris hit Bobby Purdom for a TD, and Whitewright pitched a shutout while boasting standouts like Jerry Tabor, Joey Riker, Anthony Ballard, Arthur Ballard and Eddie Hughes. Whitewright FFA youths win at Fannindel livestock show
Kyle Rogers won Grand Champion with a simmental cross steer at Fannindel in Ladonia. Allen Layman earned Reserve Champion with a Maine-Anjou steer. Kyle placed fourth in his class, shown by Carl McFatridge, and both boys qualified for showmanship with Kyle taking second. Accompanying officials and exhibitors included Ross Layman, Jack Rogers, Wilma McFatridge, and Mike Lankford. Texoma and Fort Worth shows loom next.
