Funeral services were held at Fogle West Chapel Houston for Mrs Willa Nell Lipsey 26 burn death in pre dawn Houston home fire. Husband Howard Lipsey was critically burned after rescuing their five children. Lipsey body found near a door presumed trapped while seeking the children. Death of George McLean noted in Albuquerque studies
Relatives here learned last night of the death in Albuquerque New Mexico of George McLean former local resident. He was the brother of the late Charley McLean and uncle to Charley McLean Jr and Miss Hazel McLean. He was also brother in law to Mrs Charley Layman and Mrs Jean Rhea Emerson. Emerson 83 died last Thursday in a Dallas hospital after years of ill health born in McKinney April 9 1872 she was daughter of the late Capt and Ella Foote Rhea married Cliff Emerson in 1894 who preceded her in death 1917. Emerson a Mary Baldwin College graduate was active in Daughters of the American Revolution and Edelweiss Literary Club of McKinney and taught in St Peters Episcopal Church activities.
