Highway No. 91 designation from Denison to Bells reported
The State Highway Commission designated Highway No. 91 from Denison to Bells after weeks of effort by the Denison Chamber of Commerce. Grayson County must provide a 100 foot right of way with no construction until funds are available. The change will divert traffic from the congested Denison to Sherman to Dallas route and may shorten Bells to Denison via the Katy rail line. The commission also rerouted Highway No. 116 from Gunter to meet Highway No. 6 north of Howe and canceled the segment from Gunter north to Highway No. 5.
