Whitewright Trades Day Draws 4000 Plus, Big Day for Town
Whitewright held its first fall trades day with crowds estimated over 4,000. The Odeon theater offered free shows, a local football game saw Howe high school defeat the town team, and merchants reported their best business in years. A $250 gold prize was awarded by the Commercial Club to six visitors, led by $100 to J W Burden four miles north.
